Job summary

Pulse Heart Institute seeks a skilled Echocardiographer (cardiac sonographer) to obtain high-quality heart ultrasound recordings for cardiologists. The role requires technical proficiency, independent judgment, and strong communication with patients and physicians.

Responsibilities include performing studies, documenting findings, handling scheduling and reports, and maintaining equipment. ARDMS/CCI certification or enrollment within 12 months is expected; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Registered with ARDMS or CCI; or must be enrolled and complete within 12 months of hire.
• BLS required at time of hire.
• Previous Echocardiographer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiographic studies on patients.
• Completes echocardiography worksheet with measurements and descriptive information for each study.
• Performs clerical tasks: scheduling, answering phones, filing, report circulation, data entry, and charging.
• Maintains and cleans ultrasound equipment.
• Imaging quality control and ensuring accuracy for interpretation by cardiologists.
• Demonstrates knowledge of ultrasound physics and cardiac anatomy.
