Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician supervision. You will conduct ultrasound studies to support identification of abnormalities and patient diagnosis at St.

Mary's Regional Hospital, with rotations to the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction, Colorado. Your shift is full-time, four 10-hour days (6:30 AM–5:00 PM), Monday through Friday, with a rotating day off and on-call duties requiring a 30-minute response.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; education must be from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Educate patient and family on procedure, and prepare for the exam.
• Perform ultrasound exams in a timely manner according to related protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs and communicate with physicians and caregivers during exams.
• Document exam results and other needed information.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique.
• Support quality improvement processes and initiatives.
