Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams under physician direction. The role is based primarily at St. Marys Regional Hospital with rotation to the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction, CO.

The shift is full-time, four 10-hour days, with on-call duties and a 30-minute response time. Required ARDMS/CCI in cardiac or vascular sonography and BLS. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competency for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, other caregivers, and patients.
• Educate patients and families about procedure and safety.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document exam results and other needed information.
• Apply appropriate charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock supplies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and team education.
