Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Tech to perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under physician supervision. Suitable for recent echocardiography program graduates or those new to the field.

Location at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado; part-time 30 hours/week, 10-hour days with on-call shifts. Role emphasizes education, teamwork, and clinical competence with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by patient identification, educating patient and family, and transporting.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort with quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs and coordinate care with physicians and family.
• Document exam results and needed information.
• Apply charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Maintain equipment, work area, and stock.
