Intermountain Health is hiring an Echo Technician to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction. The role is full-time with four 10-hour shifts, on-call responsibilities, and rotations between St. Marys Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO.

Minimum qualifications include ARDMS/CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography and BLS. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. The candidate will coordinate exams, educate patients, document results, and participate in quality

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate technical competence for department protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices and patients.
• Educate patients and family on procedures; transport patients as needed.
• Perform ultrasound exams per protocols and in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate patient needs to physicians and care team during exams.
• Document exam results and required information.
• Apply correct charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Support quality improvement processes.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment and techniques.
• Provide education for caregivers, fellows, and students.
