Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an Echo Technician to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction. Full-time, 40 hours weekly, four 10-hour shifts, with on-call duties and a 30-minute response time. Primarily at St. Mary's Regional Hospital with rotations at the Grand Junction Cardiology Clinic.

Minimum qualifications include ARDMS or CCI certification and BLS. Preferred Bachelor’s Degree. The role emphasizes safety, quality outcomes, and educational mentorship to staff and students.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Competency; demonstrate technical competence for performance protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, other caregivers and patients.
• Educate patient and family on procedure and transport patient.
• Perform ultrasound exams consistent with protocols in a timely manner.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Identify patient needs and communicate care with physicians and family.
• Document exam results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and work area; assist with repairs.
