Job summary

Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family, is hiring an Echocardiography Technician to perform heart ultrasounds and related duties in the Cardiology department. You will document readings in the EMR and ensure ICAEL standards are met while delivering exemplary patient care in a team-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Performs Echocardiograms following standard procedures.
• Documents readings and measurements into the EMR.
• Ensures ICAEL standards are met and high patient care quality.
• Participates in education and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Performs Echocardiograms/Ultrasounds of the heart following standard procedures.
• Documents all readings, measurements and technical information appropriately into the electronic medical record system.
• Dispenses Echocardiogram reports to the assigned Physician for reading and interpretation.
• Ensures ICAEL requirements and standards are met while maintaining highest patient care quality.
• Performs patient education following standard procedures.
• Complies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as DPH.
• Adheres to departmental policies and participates in meetings and seminars as required.
