Tufts Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiography, including m-mode, 2-D, and Doppler techniques. Under supervision, you will assist physicians, obtain recordings, and contribute to diagnostic interpretations in a busy cardiology imaging environment.

The role requires ARDMS or CCI certification and an Associate degree in Radiology or related field, with BLS on file.

Formación

• Associate degree in Radiology or related field required.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) required.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs cardiac ultrasound examinations using m-mode, 2-D, 3-D and Doppler techniques.
• Performs echocardiograms in multiple lab settings; assists with data collection for research.
• Maintains equipment and follows infection control practices.
• Ensures proper charging and billing for services.
• Prepares patients and explains procedures, obtaining clinical information prior to exams.
• Obtains permanent recordings and tracings for reports and analyses.
• Produces measurements and calculations from exams; exports 3D data for detailed assessment.
• Ensures all tests are read by the cardiologist and contributes to diagnostic impressions.
• Proofreads final echo reports before submission.
• Participates in quality control and maintains documentation for review.
• Training and development of new sonographers and interns.
• Assists in maintaining supplies and inventory.
