Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) in Georgia seeks an experienced Sonographer to perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound exams including 2-D, M-mode, color flow and Doppler studies across adolescent to geriatric patients.

The role requires knowledge of cardiac anatomy, proper protocol adherence, and the ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff. Training opportunities, CME support, and ongoing education are offered to enhance skills and career growth.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of cardiac ultrasound procedures and data entry.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and software.
• Good communication with patients and team members.
• Familiarity with cardiac anatomy and pathophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform and understand 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography.
• Maintain PI documentation in cardiac ultrasound.
• Ensure proper conduct of procedures and accurate charging.
• Input data to charge patient accounts and maintain records for accreditation.
• Assist in orientation and patient teaching as needed.
• Meet productivity standards for the department.
