Job summary

Reliant Medical Group, part of the Optum family, seeks a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiograms in the Cardiology department. The role includes documenting readings in the EMR, delivering reports to physicians, and ensuring ICAEL standards are met while delivering high-quality patient care.

Preferred candidates have 2+ years in adult echo, stress/echo, and CEU documentation for certification, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification required.
• ACLS may be required based on specialty.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs Echocardiograms/Ultrasounds of the heart following standard procedures.
• Documents readings, measurements and technical information into the EMR.
• Dispenses Echocardiogram reports to the assigned Physician for reading and interpretation.
• Ensures ICAEL requirements and standards are met while providing high quality patient care.
• Performs patient education following standard procedures.
