Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasonographer to perform diagnostic and specialized ultrasound exams in adult patients (with pediatric studies as needed) according to established policies and procedures. Required RDCS certification, BLS/ACLS as applicable, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• RDCS certification is required.
• ACLS and BLS may be required based on specialty.
• 2+ years of adult echo experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult M-Mode, 2-D, Doppler and color Doppler echocardiograms.
• Perform stress/echo, dobutamine echo and contrast studies.
• Operate ultrasound equipment independently and document findings.
• Communicate results to cardiologist and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Schedule and confirm appointments and assist in report distribution.
