Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England seeks a part-time cardiac ultrasound technologist to perform Diagnostic Cardiac ultrasound procedures in the Cardiology/Echocardiography lab. You will participate in teaching Cardiology Fellows and Echocardiographer students, maintain workflow, and handle clerical duties as needed.

The role requires knowledge of patient growth and development, ability to assess data, and competence with the department’s computerized system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved cardiac ultrasound technology program.
• Credentialing by ICAEL and ASE recognized program (ARDMS or CCI).
• Registry-eligible candidates have 90 days from hire to pass licensure.
• Licensed by ICAEL/ASE or eligible for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic Cardiac ultrasound procedures on patients in the Department of Cardiology/Echocardiography.
• Participates in teaching Cardiology Fellows from the University of Connecticut Medical School and Echocardiographer students from the Hoffman Heart School of Ultrasound, maintains workflow, and performs clerical duties as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development of the life span and assesses data reflecting patient status to identify needs.
• Has working knowledge of equipment, scanning techniques, patient care, and evaluating patient status; able to use or learn the department’s computerized system.
