Job summary

Baptist Health South is seeking a Cardiac Echo Sonographer for its Cardiology Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time role operates a Mon-Fri 8:00am–4:30pm schedule in a hospital setting.

You will perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations, collaborate with cardiologists, and provide cross-coverage within non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department while educating patients and maintaining equipment per department standards.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI credential required/obtainable within 18 months of hire.
• 1–2 years of Cardiac Sonographer experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and clinical teams.
• Adult Echo credentials through ARDMS or CCI are required within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic heart examinations using ultrasound, ensuring accurate imaging and reporting.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare providers to support patient care decisions.
• Provide cross-coverage and back-up support to non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department to maintain operations.
• Deliver compassionate patient care by preparing and educating patients for procedures and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Maintain equipment and document procedures in compliance with department protocols.

Baptist Medical Center is excited to welcome a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our Cardiology Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity with a shift of 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer, you will be responsible for:

• Performing high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using advanced ultrasound techniques, ensuring accurate imaging and reporting.

• Collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support patient care and treatment decisions.

• Providing cross-coverage and as-needed back-up support to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department to maintain seamless operations.

• Delivering compassionate patient care by preparing and educating patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.

• Maintaining equipment, documenting procedures accurately, and adhering to department protocols and quality standards.
