Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join the Float Pool at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. The PRN, varied shifts role will cover up to 3 campuses, providing flexible scheduling and cross-coverage across locations.

Responsibilities include performing high-quality cardiac ultrasounds, collaborating with cardiologists, educating patients, and maintaining equipment. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of experience, a relevant degree, and BLS certification; ARDMS/CCI

Qualifications

• 1–2 years Cardiac Echo Sonography experience required.
• Vocational School or Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Must obtain Adult Echo Credentials through ARDMS or CCI within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations and imaging.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare team to guide patient care.
• Provide cross-coverage to other non-invasive areas of Cardiac Department as needed.
• Educate patients and prepare them for procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
• Maintain equipment and document procedures according to protocols.

This Cardiac Echo Sonographer must be comfortable working at up to 3 campuses. The Float team at Baptist Health is a dynamic team of professionals making an impact in the world of imaging. Cardiac Echo Sonographer Responsibilities:

• Performing high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using advanced ultrasound techniques, ensuring accurate imaging and reporting.

• Collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support patient care and treatment decisions

• Providing cross-coverage and as-needed back-up support to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department to maintain seamless operations

• Delivering compassionate patient care by preparing and educating patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process

• Maintaining equipment, documenting procedures accurately, and adhering to department protocols and quality standards

Experience Requirements:

• 1-2 years Cardiac Echo Sonography Experience Required

Education & Credential Requirements:

• Vocational School or Associate’s Degree

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
