Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our Cardiology team at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time role features a daytime schedule (8:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday) in a supportive, growing program.

You will perform high-quality heart ultrasound exams, collaborate with cardiologists, and help educate patients while maintaining equipment and adhering to standards. ARDMS/CCI credentials are required within 18 months of hire.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI credentials within 18 months of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous cardiac sonography experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using ultrasound.

• Provide cross-coverage and back-up support to non-invasive areas of Cardiac Department.
• Educate patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.

Job Overview

Baptist Medical Center is excited to welcome a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our Cardiology Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time opportunity with a shift of 8:0am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

• Performing high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using advanced ultrasound techniques, ensuring accurate imaging and reporting.
• Collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support patient care and treatment decisions.
• Providing cross-coverage and as-needed back-up support to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department to maintain seamless operations.
• Delivering compassionate patient care by preparing and educating patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Maintaining equipment, documenting procedures accurately, and adhering to department protocols and quality standards.

Experience Requirements

• Adult Echo credentials through either ARDMS or CCI are required within 18 months of hire.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and clinical teams.
• Previous experience in cardiac sonography preferred, but not required — we provide a supportive environment for growth and learning.
