Job summary

Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville is seeking a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our Float Pool. This PRN position covers up to 3 campuses, with a flexible schedule and cross-campus back-up support within the Cardiac Department.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of Cardiac Echo Sonography experience and an Associate's degree or vocational training, plus BLS. ARDMS/CCI credentials encouraged within 18 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years Cardiac Echo Sonography experience.
• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS or CCI adult echo credentials within 18 months of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using ultrasound.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare providers to support patient care.
• Provide back-up support to other non-invasive areas to maintain operations.
• Educate patients and ensure comfort and safety during procedures.
• Maintain equipment and document procedures per protocols.

This position will be based at various Baptist Health locations. This Cardiac Echo Sonographer must be comfortable working at up to 3 campuses. Cardiac Echo Sonographer Responsibilities

• Performing high-quality diagnostic examinations of the heart using advanced ultrasound techniques, ensuring accurate imaging and reporting.
• Collaborating with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to support patient care and treatment decisions.
• Providing cross-coverage and as-needed back-up support to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department to maintain seamless operations.
• Delivering compassionate patient care by preparing and educating patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Maintaining equipment, documenting procedures accurately, and adhering to department protocols and quality standards.

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years Cardiac Echo Sonography Experience

Education & Credential Requirements

• Vocational School or Associate's Degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• If hired, must obtain Adult Echo Credentials through either ARDMS or CCI within 18 months of hire.
