Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio seeks a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer (Echo) to perform echocardiography tests and report findings. Schedule is Monday–Friday with call and weekend rotation; day shift. Competitive compensation and relocation support may be available.

This role emphasizes patient care, accuracy, and teamwork within a standards-driven environment. Ideal candidates hold ARDMS/ARRT/CCI credentials or board-eligible status with commitment to certification within 12 months;

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred.
• Registered Radiographer ARRT or registry eligible.
• ARDMS RDCS/RVT or CCI RCS/RVS credentials or board-eligible with certification within 12 months.
• Minimum 1 year experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews physician orders to ensure correct procedure and patient identification.
• Performs studies per policy; reports abnormal findings and ensures patient comfort.
• Obtains health history and enters data into diagnostic systems with accuracy.
• Communicates data to team members and collaborates with other departments.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment; evaluates new devices as needed.
• Maintains registry status, completes annual competencies, and participates in accreditation.
• Uses clinical information systems and timekeeping tools effectively.
