Job summary

Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive non-invasive cardiovascular evaluations and assist with echocardiography procedures. Qualifications

• Associate's degree in cardiovascular or applied sciences or equivalent.
• Six months experience in Echocardiography or related field preferred.
• Registered or registry-eligible as RDCS or RCS; ARDMS preferred; must be registered within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic evaluations including stress echo and 2-D echo with Doppler and Color Flow.
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms under physician supervision.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot echocardiography equipment and software.
• Prepare preliminary reports and enter data into hospital systems.
• Participate in quality improvement and staff training.
