Advocate Health's Cardiovascular Diagnostics department seeks a Cardiac Sonographer. You will perform echocardiography studies, obtain clinical history, and adapt imaging to provide comprehensive, diagnostic results.

Position requires ARDMS or CCI credentials within specified timelines and BLS where applicable. 40-hour week with after-hours rotation and call responsibilities. Hospital benefits included.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school that includes an accredited or approved program in Sonography.
• Licensure/certification within specified timeframes: RDCS-AE or RCS, plus BLS within 6 months if required.
• No prior experience required for this role.

Responsabilités

• Performs cardiac ultrasound procedures (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow) and measurements for accurate results.
• Identifies cardiac abnormalities and extends examination scope as needed.
• Prepares patients, gathers clinical history, and adapts imaging techniques for diagnostic echocardiograms.
• Assists in transesophageal studies with cardiologist and sterilizes equipment.
• Communicates clinical findings to staff and maintains lab records and equipment.
