Job summary

Salinas Valley Health's Cardiac Diagnostic Outpatient Clinic seeks a Nursing Aide to provide essential basic patient care and support. You will assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transport, while maintaining patient comfort and safety within cardiology procedures.

Under RN supervision, you will handle clerical tasks, scheduling, and data collection, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient workflow for high-quality cardiac care.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; basic reading/writing required.
• Nurse Aide Certification (CDPH) required for hire after June 1998.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required or must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care activities according to age and development.
• Assist with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
• Answer call lights and respond to patient needs promptly.
• Coordinate patient flow and assist with ambulation and transportation as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient care areas and equipment.
