Job summary

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience performing EKGs, Holter monitors, treadmills, and/or Cardiac Sonography.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience.

Job description

Job Overview

We seek a Senior Associate to support the Cardiology Manager in operations of Cardiology, Cardiac Sonography, and Cardiovascular Diagnostic Outpatient Center (CDOC). The position includes scheduling, quality improvement, staff development, compliance, budgeting, and patient care support.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cardiology Manager in monitoring day-to-day operations of Cardiology, Cardiac Sonography, and CDOC.
  • Resolve employee concerns, provide input on compliance with job duties, and coach/counsel staff as needed.
  • Maintain quality of the department’s work product, support CQI activities, and produce quarterly/year-end reports.
  • Monitor department expenses, stay within budget, and provide input for new/revised policies.
  • Collaborate with the Manager in developing staff schedules, including shift assignments for all positions.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients served by the department.
  • Orient new employees, maintain training competency records, and schedule/update competencies.
  • Assist with performance evaluations, ongoing education, and peer review of cardiology physicians.
  • Serve in the role of Cardiology Manager in their absence.
  • Participate in special projects, committees, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist interview and hiring processes, including application evaluation, interview scheduling, and administrative paperwork.
  • Maintain employee time and attendance records and assist with attendance disciplinary actions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum high school education or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One of the following certifications required: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), or Registered Vascular Tech (RVT).
  • Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status per American Heart Association standards.
  • At least two years of experience performing EKGs, Holter monitors, treadmills, and/or Cardiac Sonography, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience.
