Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Cardiac Device Technician to support remote pacemaker/ICD/ILR transmissions, device interrogations, and patient education in a Hybrid work setting at the Cardiac Device Center. You will collaborate with physicians, NPs/PAs, and staff to ensure timely device status review and documentation.

The role requires strong English communication, organizational skills, and a background in biomedical engineering or Cardiac Device education, with relevant certifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's in biomedical engineering strongly preferred.
• Cardiac Device Educational Program or EP experience preferred.
• Experience with remote device transmissions favored.
• IHBRE certification preferred within two years.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within year.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work with good judgment.
• Strong English communication skills (verbal/written).
• Ability to read/write English and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Daily review and documentation of remote transmissions.
• Communicate findings with MD/NP/PA when needed.
• Enroll and educate patients in remote monitoring systems.
• Assist with management of remote monitoring program.
• Triaging reports on a daily basis.
• Notify patients of follow-up; arrange next steps.
• Assist patients with transmissions over the phone.
• Troubleshoot remote monitoring systems.
• Assist with device advisories/recalls.
• Interrogate and program a wide range of cardiac devices.
• Room patients during in-person interrogations; collect vitals.
