Job summary

Providence seeks a Cardiac Device Tech for an outpatient device clinic, working with physicians, mid-levels and clinical staff to ensure efficient, accurate service. Procedures must be ordered by physicians or mid-level providers, with strong emphasis on patient-focused care.

Required qualifications include a health/science degree, multiple cardiac device certifications, and BLS within 30 days of hire. Experience with cardiac patients is preferred and encouraged.

• Bachelor's degree in health or science field or equivalent educ/experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, clinical staff and office staff to support outpatient device clinic.
• Ensure procedures and treatments are ordered by physicians or mid-level providers.
• Assist in patient care coordination and documentation in the clinic.

The Cardiac Device Tech works with physicians, mid-levels, clinical staff and office staff to effectively, efficiently and accurately fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a busy outpatient device clinic. All procedures and treatments performed must be ordered by the physician, and/or mid-level providers.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Health or Science related field Or equivalent educ/experience
• Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Cardiac Device Specialist - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners Or
• Upon hire: National Cardiac Device Remote Monitoring Specialist - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Electrophysiology Specialist - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years of experience in the healthcare and/or assessment of cardiac patients

Preferred qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Completion of ATI training
• Upon hire: CCDS certification
