Providence is seeking a Cardiac Device Technician to support an outpatient device clinic. You will interrogate and assess implantable cardiac devices, manage remote transmissions, and collaborate with device clinic RNs and implanting physicians under supervision to deliver patient care.
The role requires a health/science degree or equivalent, multiple national certifications, BLS within 30 days of hire, and at least two years of healthcare experience with cardiac patients.
The Cardiac Device Technician works with physicians, mid-levels, clinical staff and office staff to effectively, efficiently and accurately fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a busy outpatient device clinic. All procedures and treatments performed must be ordered by the physician, and/or mid-level providers. Duties and responsibilities include interrogation and assessment of implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, and implantable loop recorders) and management of remote transmissions. The Device Technician will work closely with device clinic RNs and will be under the clinical supervision of the implanting physicians and report to the Nursing supervisor or Clinic Administrator.
