The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore seeks a Cardiology Device Technologist to join the Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) team. You will manage implanted cardiac devices, perform device interrogation, and troubleshoot complex issues to support patient care.
You will assist in longitudinal care of electrophysiology patients, coordinating with the device nurse and cardiology team, and you will cover multiple satellite clinics as needed.
We are seeking a Cardiology Device Technologist to work as a member of the multidisciplinary Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) team. This team provides comprehensive care to cardiovascular patients with pacemakers, defibrillators, or implantable loop monitors. This position will support the technical management of implanted cardiac pacemaker and ICD devices; assist in the management of device patients and their care; and, implement treatment plans at a highly developed skill level. The technologist will provide longitudinal care of patients on the cardiac electrophysiology service by performing basic device interrogation, adjusting programming as per protocol or specific order, and troubleshooting basic, intermediate and advanced device issues. The Cardiac Device Technologist will report directly to the Administrative Director of Invasive Cardiology and will work under the supervision of the device nurse for clinical competencies.
