Qualifikationen

• Must have BLS certification.
• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years on-the-job training or equivalent.
• 1–2 years EP clinical experience as Cardiac Device Specialist or Device Monitor.

Aufgaben

• Provides evaluation and device management to patients under EP Physician supervision, including remote monitoring, interrogations of pacemakers and implantable devices, re-programming and patient education.
• Coordinates activities of the Device Clinic with Nursing, Billing and Accounting.
• Ensures device equipment is properly maintained, updated, and operating to manufacturer specifications.
• Ensures supplies are maintained at appropriate levels.
• Reports concerns or needs to the Device Clinic Coordinator.
• Assesses wounds post device implant to ensure proper healing (RN only).
• Evaluates service quality and participates in care coordination for communication between caregivers, patients, referral sources and payers.
• Discusses operational issues and reviews records to ensure regulatory and in-house compliance.
• Assists with Device Clinic research as needed.
• Serves as a preceptor to new staff and participates in orientation and training.
