Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Cardiac Device Specialist to manage pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders, including remote monitoring, data entry, and reporting for EP physicians and patient records. Clinical research participation is required as needed.

Two years of device management experience or 1–2 years EP clinical experience are preferred, with BLS certification and a high school diploma. The role supports device clinic operations and patient care within NGHS.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required.
• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of two years on-the-job training in Cardiac Device Management or 1–2 years EP clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation and device management including remote monitoring, interrogations of pacemakers and reprogramming.
• Coordinates Device Clinic with Nursing, Billing, and Accounting.
• Ensures Device equipment is maintained per manufacturer specs and supplies kept stocked.
• Assess wounds post-implant (RN only task).
• Participates in device clinic research and serves as a preceptor to new staff.
• Participates in staff orientation and training and contributes to performance improvement.
