Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise is hiring a Cardiac Device Specialist who can be a Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist. You will perform device interrogations, testing, and patient education.

Join a collaborative Heart Institute team with access to state-of-the-art facilities, ongoing education opportunities, and a 40-hour workweek Mon–Fri from roughly 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Qualifications

• Must be a Medical Assistant or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• MA certification from SAHS-approved agencies (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, NPCE MA).
• Understanding of EKGs and external and internal cardiac monitors, pacemakers and defibrillators.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification at hire (ACLS exception if already certified).

Responsibilities

• Interrogate and test internal cardiac devices per competency guidelines.
• Upload interrogation and device testing reports to the HER and manufacturer sites per guidelines.
• Monitor and create remote download reports for physicians through competency guidelines.
• Schedule patients for appointments and maintain clinic flow.
• Develop systems to maintain readiness for audits (FDA, DNV, CMS) using Smartsheets and Tableau.
