Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for the Advanced Heart Failure clinic. You will support a multidisciplinary team, perform rooming, vital signs, chart prep, history intake, medication reviews, and EKGs, and assist with stress testing.

The role includes cardiomems billing support, high volumes of prior authorizations, and in-basket tasks. A motivated, team-oriented candidate with strong critical thinking is ideal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required at hire.
• MA certificate of completion from an accredited program or school.
• MA certification within 90 days of hire from approved agencies listed by Saint Alphonsus.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rooming, vitals, chart prep, medical history collection, medication review, and EKGs.
• Proctor Cardiopulmonary stress testing with exercise physiologists.
• Assist with internal devices (cardiomems) billing.
• Complete prior authorizations for specialty medications and patient calls.
• Handle in-basket tasks and support a team of physicians, APPs, PAs, and NPs.
• Develop relationships with physicians and patients; be a team player.
