Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a cardiovascular device nurse with extensive experience in CIED care, interrogations, and remote monitoring. The role emphasizes accurate assessment, education, and collaboration with fellows and physicians to optimize device function.

You will contribute to device programming, post-operative care, and regulatory processes while supporting patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN is required.
• Minimum four years of cardiovascular nursing, electrophysiology nursing, critical care nursing or cardiac device nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA).
• Current RN license

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates autonomous direct cardiac rhythm management patient care for patients with CIEDs, including device interrogations and analysis of function.
• Performs post-operative CIED patient assessment and education on incision care and device function.
• Programs device parameters safely to optimize pacing, rate modulation, and battery longevity when needed.
• Recognizes abnormal functions of pacemakers, defibrillators, ILRs and CRT devices via in-person and remote monitoring.
• Communicates findings with Electrophysiologists and other providers with accurate documentation.
• Participates in device management education hours annually and supports regulatory processes including billing and CIED tracking.
