Job summary

Atrium Health's Cardiac Device Clinic in Charlotte is seeking a Cardiac Device Nurse to provide direct patient care for those with cardiac implantable devices. The role focuses on device interrogation, testing, programming, and comprehensive documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN and an RN license with at least four years in cardiovascular or device nursing, ACLS/BLS, and a commitment to ongoing education. This is a full-time, day-shift position with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with BSN required.
• Minimum four years of cardiovascular, electrophysiology, or cardiac device nursing experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) credentials.
• Current RN license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates autonomous direct CIED patient care including device interrogations and diagnostics.
• Performs post-operative CIED assessment and patient teaching on device function.
• Programs device parameters safely to optimize pacing and battery longevity.
• Recognizes abnormal pacemaker/defibrillator/ILR/CRT function and addresses issues.
• Communicates findings with electrophysiologists and care teams with proper documentation.
• Participates in education hours and supports regulatory processes.
