Job summary

LaborEdge, LLC is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to support heart and major vascular surgeries. The role involves preparing the CVOR, sterile setup, and ensuring all specialized instrument trays are ready for bypass cases, while collaborating closely with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists and OR staff.

Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and careful instrument counts, followed by post-procedure clean-up,

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• General OR experience.
• Optional CVOR certification (NBSTSA CST-CVOR).

Responsibilities

• Pre-Procedure: prepare CVOR and set up instrument trays (200+ items for bypass cases); sterilize and arrange cardiovascular instruments; prepare grafts and delivery systems; transport and position patient.
• During Procedure: pass instruments with precision; maintain sterile field; monitor and troubleshoot CVOR equipment; anticipate instrument needs; maintain instrument and sponge counts.
• Post-Procedure: assist with patient transfer to recovery; clean and restock CVOR for next case; document equipment or supply issues.
