Job summary

LaborEdge, LLC seeks a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to support heart and major vascular surgeries. You will prepare the CVOR, maintain a sterile environment, and collaborate with cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and OR staff to ensure life‑saving procedures.

Responsibilities include pre‑procedure setup for bypass cases, handling grafts and delivery systems, passing instruments with precision, monitoring specialized equipment, and assisting with patient

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
• Proficiency with sterile technique and surgical instruments.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot specialized OR equipment.
• Attention to detail, manual dexterity and composure under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Typically requires completion of an accredited surgical technology program, general OR experience, and optional CVOR certification.

Responsibilities

• Pre‑Procedure: Prepare the CVOR and set up 200+ instrument trays for bypass cases.
• Sterilize and arrange cardiovascular instruments and supplies.
• Transport and position the patient for surgery.
• During Procedure: Pass instruments with precision and maintain a sterile field.
• Monitor specialized equipment (heart‑lung bypass) with the perfusionist.
• Post‑Procedure: Assist with patient transfer to recovery and restock the CVOR.
