Job summary

Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant (CPCU) for our Cardiac Progressive Care unit. The role covers a full-time NIGHT shift (three 12-hour shifts per week from 6:00pm to 6:30am) with rotating weekends/holidays.

The position emphasizes high-acuity cardiac care, STEMI/NSTEMI patients, and post-procedure recovery in a 60-bed CPCU setting. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered for licensed CNAs/LNAs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with CNA certification.
• Current BLS certification reflected in state practice.
• Excellent organizational, human relations and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic hygiene.
• Document vital signs, intake/outtake and patient data in EMR.
• Report health status changes to licensed staff promptly.
• Support with procedures and equipment as directed by clinical staff.
• Maintain patient records and supply levels; assist with transport and admissions.
