Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (CNA/LNA eligible) for a 6pm-6:30am night shift in the Progressive Care Cardiac 3D Unit. The role supports an interdisciplinary team caring for post- cath patients and those on telemetry, with weekend rotations and shift differentials.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Current BLS certification required.
Current CNA in state of practice required for new hires and transfers.

Responsibilities

Provides routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the patient plan of care.
Collects patient data including vital signs and input/output, documents in medical records.
Recognizes and reports health status changes to licensed professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Performs procedures and uses equipment (blood draws, Foley removal, EKGs) under supervision of licensed staff.
Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
Maintains complete patient records and ensures accessibility of charting forms and education materials.
Maintains adequate supplies and assists with ordering and inventory control.
May assist with transporting patients and OR room turnover.
Works under supervision in a fast-paced environment with strong focus on customer service.
