Job summary

Oklahoma Heart Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. You will support clinic operations under supervision, help manage patient flow, and assist with examinations and procedures.

The role requires HP diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 60 months; 6–12 months clinic experience preferred. This is a safety-sensitive position within the heart care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within 60 months of hire.
• 6 months to 1 year of clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and providers in in-office and off-site OK Heart Hospital clinic locations following all policies and regulatory requirements.
• Manage patient flow by rooming patients, obtaining histories, and recording vital signs.
• Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing in a cardiovascular outpatient clinic.
• Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain examination and treatment rooms with infection control in mind.
• Sterilize medical supplies, instruments, and equipment as needed.
• Administer vaccines, apply dressings, and assist with minor procedures.
• Triage patient calls and communicate clinical concerns to nursing staff or physicians.
