Job summary

Oklahoma Heart Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a cardiovascular outpatient clinic. You will assist clinicians, manage patient flow, obtain histories and vital signs, and prepare patients for exams and procedures. You’ll maintain rooms and supplies while documenting interactions in the EMR to ensure high-quality care.

This position emphasizes patient safety, infection control, and collaboration with physicians and nurses to support continuity of care across the hospital system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required within 60 months of hire.
• Six months to one year of clinic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in outpatient clinic settings.
• Manage patient flow and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Maintain clean and stocked examination rooms.
• Document all patient interactions in the medical record.
• Coordinate referrals, tests, and admissions within the hospital system.
