Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician for the Cath Lab to operate monitoring equipment, assist in procedures and ensure patient data is accurately documented. The role requires critical thinking and teamwork in a high-paced environment.

Applicants should have an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Cath lab experience, and certification requirements including BLS and ACLS within 6 months of hire. Excellent communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must complete ECG interpretation course within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to quickly adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication with physicians, patients and staff.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate monitoring and recording equipment during procedures.
• Monitor patient ECG for dysrhythmias and assist with defibrillator use.
• Assist in pre/post procedure activities and equipment calibration/maintenance.
• Identify cardiovascular anatomy and document data in procedure logs.
• Set up imaging, angiographic and storage systems; position patients and assist physicians.
