Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to assist a Cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will perform QC, review orders with the cardiologist, and ensure proper patient history and contraindication screening.

Responsibilities include interaction with hospital staff, maintaining performance skills, and readiness for weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, or on-call status as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program and licensed MRT in Texas.
• ARRT certification is required unless exempted by Public Law 97-35.
• Non-radiologic technologists must hold CCI certification (RCIS/RCES).
• BCLS and ACLS certifications must be current per unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Perform quality control procedures and ensure proper prior history and contraindication review.
• Coordinate with hospital staff to address patient care concerns and ensure safety during procedures.

Education

Graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology program

Licensed MRT in TX

ARRT Licensure

CCI certification (RCIS/RCES) for non-radiologic technologists

BCLS and ACLS certifications
