Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to assist Cardiologists with diagnostic and interventional procedures. The role involves verifying orders, performing QC, and coordinating with nursing staff to ensure patient safety.

Candidates should be MRT-licensed in Texas and hold ARRT certification, with active CCI RCIS/RCES preferred. This position requires flexibility for weekends and on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved radiologic technology program.
• Current Texas MRT license.
• Current ARRT licensure; exemptions per Public Law 97-35.
• CCI active certification as RCIS or RCES.
• Interventional angiography certification preferred.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications current.

Responsibilities

• Assist Cardiologist in performing Diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Perform quality control procedures as required by the manufacturer.
• Evaluate orders, verify with cardiologist, ensure proper lab results and history for contraindications.
• Interact with hospital staff/nursing to address patient care concerns and resolutions.
• Maintain performance skills and provide coverage including weekends, holidays, evenings, nights, overtime, and on-call as needed.
