Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Cardiac/Cath Lab Tech for a full-time day shift. You will perform radiographic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab under licensed practitioner orders, delivering high-quality cardiovascular care.

The ideal candidate has Radiologic Technology training, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and experience in radiology or cath lab settings. On-call availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARR T OR RCIS OR RCES certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology or Cath Lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of radiology equipment.
• Instructs and prepares patients for roentgenographic/fluoroscopy exams.
• Positions patients and provides immobilization/support devices; shields as needed.

This Cardiac/Cath Lab Tech opportunity is a full-time position on our Cath Lab nd offers full time benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. We are looking for a dynamic Cardiac/Cath Lab Tech that will help providecardiovascular and interventional radiological procedures. Performs radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures in the interventional service line, upon the order of a licensed practitioner. Provides for optimal patient care applying departmental standards and protocols. Exercises professional judgement in performance of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology procedures. Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
• Instructs and prepares patients for roentgen graphic and/or fluoroscopic examinations.
• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions; provides immobilization or support devices; shields patients accordingly.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) OR RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) OR RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) certificate
• Current BLS
• ACLS within 6 Months
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology Special Procedures or Cath Lab preferred.
• Experience with scrubbing preferred.
• Ability to participate in on-call schedule on a regular basis for special procedures.
