Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join our team in Texas. This full-time day-shift role requires on-call duties roughly six shifts per month and candidates must live within 30 minutes of the hospital to meet call requirements.

You will provide technical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, including equipment operation, monitoring, and coordination of supplies, with emphasis on patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Allied Health Degree or three years of Cath Lab or EP experience.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• ACLS issued within 1 year of hire date or transfer into position.

Responsibilities

• Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data.
• Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional CV procedures including preparation of supplies and instruments, preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices.
• Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician.
• Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy.
• Assist to coordinate procedure schedule as assigned.
• Assist with inventory control as directed by the supervisor / manager.
