Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join our team in the Dallas area. You will assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, monitor hemodynamics and imaging, and ensure sterile technique and supply readiness.

The role requires call responsibilities (about 6 shifts per month) and living within 30 minutes of the hospital. Allied health degree or equivalent Cath Lab experience is preferred, with BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Allied Health Degree or three years Cath Lab or EP experience.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS issued within 1 year of hire date or transfer into position.
• Certification as RCIS or ARRT or three years Cath Lab or EP experience.

Responsibilities

• Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data.
• Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional CV procedures including preparation of supplies and instruments, preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices.
• Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician.
• Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy.
• Assist to coordinate procedure schedule as assigned.
• Assist with inventory control as directed by the supervisor / manager.
