Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals in Texas is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech for full-time day shifts. The role involves providing technical assistance for diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, including equipment operation, monitoring, imaging, and device use.

Call is required, typically 6 shifts per month, with a 30-minute live proximity requirement. Responsibilities include hemodynamic/ECG monitoring, scrub assist, contrast injections, documentation, scheduling

Qualifications

• Allied Health Degree or three years of Cath Lab or EP experience.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
• ACLS issued within 1 year of hire date or transfer into position. ACLS issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
• Certification as RCIS or ARRT or three years Cath Lab or EP experience.

Responsibilities

• Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data.
• Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional CV procedures including preparation of supplies and instruments, preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices
• Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician
• Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy.
• Assist to coordinate procedure schedule as assigned
• Assist with inventory control as directed by the supervisor / manager
• Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization
• Other duties as assigned
