Job summary

Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals invites a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech to join our team on a full-time day shift. The position involves 4–10 hour shifts with call (about six calls per month) and requires living within 30 minutes of the hospital.

You will identify steps in diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, assist scrub, monitor hemodynamics/ECG, inject contrast, document patient data, and support scheduling and inventory while upholding our mission and values.

Qualifications

• Allied Health Degree or three years of Cath Lab or EP experience.
• Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
• ACLS issued within 1 year of hire date or transfer into position. ACLS issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
• Certification as RCIS or ARRT or three years Cath Lab or EP experience

Responsibilities

• Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data.
• Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional CV procedures including preparation of supplies and instruments, preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices
• Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician
• Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy.
• Assist to coordinate procedure schedule as assigned
• Assist with inventory control as directed by the supervisor / manager
• Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization
• Other duties as assigned
