Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse (CCL RN) for per diem day shifts in Livingston, NJ. The role supports physicians and staff in diagnostic and interventional cardiac/endovascular procedures, including TEE, CV, tilt-table tests, and EP procedures, while ensuring patient education and safety throughout admissions, discharges and transfers.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required upon hire; IV certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred with a minimum of 2 years critical care experience.
• Cath lab experience preferred; experience with EPIC EMR.
• EMR proficiency and patient care documentation expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize changes to intervene early.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparedness for next care steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and promote effective communication.
• Engage in team-based care and pursue professional growth opportunities.
