Qualifications

• BSN is required; ADN acceptable if matriculated in a BSN program.
• Current RN license in New York State.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Cardiac/CCU experience preferred.
• New graduates must have knowledge of the nursing process.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care incorporating Relationship Centered Care principles.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
• Integrate assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans.
• Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching and planning post-hospital care.
• Educate patients and caregivers about their care plans and health promotion.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members.
• Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
• Role model Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care practices.
• Initiate service recovery for patients and families with concerns.
