Job summary

Trusted Health is seeking a Travel Nurse for an interventional cath lab role. Requires RO/RCIS certification and ACLS/BLS, with experience in catheterizations and complex cardiovascular procedures. Clinician must be willing to travel, float to multiple units, and adhere to vaccination requirements.

Shift options include day hours with no weekends and a 13-week contract. References are required, and pre-employment modules may be needed to expedite onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 prior travel assignment.
• 2 years of interventional experience with 3 months in the last 12 months.
• Must be able to float to multiple units.
• Flu vaccination required.
• 2 references from charge/lead within the last 12 months.
• Labs may need to be completed within 48 hours of signing.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic catheterizations (adult).
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring during procedures.
• Carry out left and right heart catheterization.
• Pace-maker insertion (PPI) where applicable.
• Scrub procedures and sterile technique maintained.
• Temporary pacemaker management as needed.
• Stocking supplies and circulating duties.
• Insertion/programming of AICDs; angioplasty and related imaging.
• Angiography: aortography, pelvic, pulmonary; stent placement.
• Dialysis graft interventions; vessel imaging of extremities.
• Fluoroscopy use and image-guided diagnosis.
• EKG lead placement; access-site prep.
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias; rapid response team involvement.
• Room circulator duties; sterile-field maintenance.
• Practice isolation precautions according to protocol.

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.

Requirements:

• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.
• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Unit Details:Adult and geriatric patient population.Patient diagnoses include CAD, PVD, and cancer.Unit procedures include interventional peripheral, diagnostic cardiovascular, bone marrow harvest, and interventional pulmonary procedures.Work setting includes a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab.

Shift & Scheduling:Shift windows: 07:00am-03:30pm or 09:00am-5:30pm.No call.No weekends.No work on the following major holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

7 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
