Unit Details:Fast-paced, high-acuity adult Cath Lab; no pediatrics.Performs 24-40 cases per day, including diagnostic and interventional Cath Lab cases, RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, CardioMEMS, biopsies, atherectomies, staged PCI, IABP, and Impella.Peripheral diagnostic and interventional cases, including some fistulograms.Hybrid cases include AAA grafts, thoracic grafts, clips, TAVRs, and Watchman.Travelers will only be in Cath Lab.RTR responsibilities include scrubbing and panning; permanent staff monitor cases.Uses Alaris, Pyxis, GE C-arms, Volcano, St. Jude, Alphavac, Angiovac, EKOS, and Anari equipment; experience with these devices is not required.Uses GE Pruka (Maclab) hemodynamics, Fuji and ProSolv PACS, and Maquet IABP.
Shift & Scheduling:Traveler will work varying 8h or 12h shifts (1200-2030 or 0800-2030), or a combination of 8h/12h shifts to meet the weekly shift requirement.Sometimes travelers will be scheduled weekends, but it is usually just call.Will be on call from Friday-Friday every 2-3 months; worst case scenario is 7 days of call every 2 months.Call runs from end of shift until 0600.30-minute response time.Maximum time off: 7 days.Cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts.
