Required Skills/Experience:Must have experience with IABP and IVUS.

Unit Details:Cases include peripheral procedures, cardiac catheterization, PCI, and device procedures for adult cardiac patients only.Cases include ICDs and pacemakers; EP and ablation cases are not performed.Case volume ranges from 2 to 9 per day, averaging 4-5 cases.CV radiologic technologists scrub and monitor cases.The unit uses Cupid, Dynamics, and Xper systems.An automatic Acist injector is used; training is provided.Phillips telemetry is hardwired at the bedside.A resource nurse manages daily flow and assignments and may perform cases as needed.Ventilator support is provided by RT, and the technologist stays in the control room when a patient is on a ventilator.RT is called from the ICU if needed.Omnicell is used to mix certain medications in the lab, and pharmacy supports several other medications.Cardiology is on call 24/7.
Shift & Scheduling:Call coverage is Monday-Friday, 1530-0700, averaging 15 days per month; call days may decrease as permanent staff are added.Weekend coverage for techs is Saturday/Sunday, 0700-0700.Holiday coverage is by 7-7 call.
Floating Requirements:May float to Non-Invasive CV at times to start IVs.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years
